This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"We believe that one must earn the right to dream. Our talent, discipline and integrity will be our contribution to a new world."
These are a few lines from my school's creed and I am proud to say that my students not only say this everyday, but believe in it too.
It is important to recognize that every student is different in their own way. I have noticed that all my students genuinely want to learn and they do so with positive attitudes.
My Project
Materials such as markers and white boards are especially important for the math groups because they help the students organize and display their work. Books, bookmarks, highlighters, pens, post-its are going to be used throughout the year for my reading enrichment groups or as I like to call "Ms. V's Book Club." The students in these groups are being challenged in both reading and math because they have proven with their classwork, tests and homework that they are more than capable of working at a higher level. So in order for me as an instructor to enhance and further improve their academic success I ask that you help me in doing just that!
