This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every day we make each other laugh, help each other, and everyone learns at least one thing. I love how eager they are to learn and how they help each other out. We take pride in being a community. English is a second language for all of my students. They come from low income households. They are the sweetest kids who try so hard. The school has murals in the halls and at the entrance of school. We are a Title I school which means that most families are low income. Parents help out as much as they can and volunteer their time. We are close knit and try to help where we can.

My Project

Due to the fact that some of my students are below grade level, I am now trying to accumulate more books and have 4th-grade book clubs.

The struggling students still want to read and love books, this book club is a way to jump-start this goal.

These books are fun and will be a good start to help them on their way to being life long readers.

Wilf is about a boy that suffers from anxiety and still save the world from his evil inventor of a neighbor.

Anne of Green Gables is just a lovely classic book that I think should be read by all and it's just a nice book. Some books are a bit dark and I think at the end of the year it's nice to have a little light in the day.
