My students need the 3D printer to help bring science and creativity together. This printer will insure that all students have the opportunity to learn the steps of creative design to bring their ideas to life.
My students attend a school in a rural part of their community. Many of my students' families face challenges, and they need an opportunity to learn skills that will help them throughout their lives. Our students do not have a lot of chances to experience current technology or use resources that will help them in the future. I would like to provide the students at my school all the amazing opportunities that are out there.
Innovation and creativity are skills not measured by a test, but are crucial for success in the world today.
I want to help students succeed in the modern day world, which includes developing an understanding of computer coding and technology. My students have incredible ideas and simply need the tools to bring them out.
My Project
My students have recently started to work on the 3D design software, TinkerCAD. They have experimented with designing objects to represent themselves, and have enjoyed following directions on the projects on the site to build various objects. 3D design provides an opportunity for the students to merge creativity with technology, and this helps increase engagement when incorporated into different subjects.
By donating to our project, you will help students bring creativity into every subject through 3D printing, and students will be able to bring their designs to life.
The 3D printer will allow students to design and print their own manipulatives in math, to create mineral structure models for science, build characters from the stories they have read, and merge art with technology in the classroom. This will provide an excellent opportunity for my students to incorporate the engineering process into their academic experience.
