My students need a few wobble chairs as seating options that can ease restlessness. Traditional chairs don't allow enough required movement for some learners.
I have an incredible classroom community of children who all have a thirst for knowledge. I feel honored to help them realize their potential!
Each school day I look forward to seeing these students grow further with tools to help them to better interact with each other and classroom technologies.
These students are learning to plan, collaborate, demonstrate their thinking, and share ways in which they can creatively solve problems to impact the world around them. With continued support, they will continue to grow!
My Project
Having some wobble chairs as a seating option in my classroom will provide an area for students who need extra movement a place to feel calm. These chairs will allow restless students the ability to move around more than they can in a traditional chair. They can move vigorously in these chairs, as needed, circulating blood to their brains and helping them to focus on their learning.
Movement is important for releasing energy, and wobble chairs allow students to easily stay active while they're seated.
Traditional chairs are not best for every student. Some students HAVE to move while they're thinking and working. If I can help them to better demonstrate their learning by simply changing seating options, why wouldn't I?
