3rd Graders Need a Solution to Their Math Manipulative Problem
My students need math manipulatives and practice centers, such as Lakeshore's Problem Solving center, to better expand their math knowledge to prepare for the Florida Standards Assessments.
My third grade students are outstanding. They are students who don't necessarily come from a great background, but against all odds, they strive to learn.

is out of this world! These students might not have consistency in their lives, but us teachers. They want to come to school, be the best, and work hard each and every day. They have the knowledge inside to do great things, now we just need the resources and materials to do so!
My Project
The donations of this project will impact all student learning in 3rd grade because each student will have an individual math kit. Every student will have the manipulatives to explore, engage, explain, and demonstrate the evaluation of their knowledge.
Daily use of the math manipulatives will give students the better understanding of math skills.
During whole group instruction students will use the math kit to gain knowledge of the daily lesson. The kit will also be used in small group instruction to give students an experience to reinforce and enrich third grade skills.
This hands on approach with this math kit will lead to students understanding math concepts and then applying those skills to help with problem solving, number literacy, number concepts, and reasoning. These material are essential to helping student prepare for the Math Florida Standards Assessment Tests.
