This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a classroom full of exuberant Kindergartners. They are energetic, fun-loving, and creative. Some of them dance all over the school from standing in the bathroom line to outside on the playground during recess. Others are jokesters that like to tell jokes and pull pranks on their friends. There are also some that love to write, read, act, play, and tell stories.
However, all of them are artists and love to create art!
They live to express themselves artistically.
My Project
My Kindergartners have a set curriculum for reading and math. However, my Kindergarten team members and I have to create our own curriculum for science. Not only is this challenging, but can be boring for the kids if done incorrectly. That's where 3Doodlers come in!
Not only can 3Doodlers enhance students' mathematics curriculum by giving them a resource to draw the concepts they are learning, such as creating a 3D cube during the shapes unit or something light or heavy during a measurements unit, but they can also enhance students' science learning experiences as well.
3Doodlers can even enhance reading curriculum by giving students a way to draw the characters or setting of a story. By obtaining a set of 3Doodlers, my students would be able to work in pairs or small groups during science instruction to build robots, simple machines, or whatever else their little minds can imagine. Please help us bring STEM into our classroom in a fun and engaging way!
