As the tech leader in our middle school, I see how excited ALL students are to learn how to use 21st-century tech skills to prepare them for the job market and help them become competitive leaders in our world.
Imagine if students with multiple talents had a chance to 3D print images without using a 3D printer!
Just knowing how to use simple technology skills is not enough to prepare them for what awaits them in the real world. Our students are savvy, and they constantly look for new and improved ways to reach their learning goals. They don't want to settle for the expected, they want to try new things, improve, and build upon what they've already achieved. They want to create, they want to solve problems, and they want to enjoy learning.
As with most students around our country, the current middle school students have used technology since they were born. They learn how to swipe a screen, how to turn on a device, and how to do a search before they go to Kindergarten!
Welcome to the age of 3D technology! The 3Doodler Pen allows students to use 3D printing technology without a 3D printer! Students of all abilities and interests can get their creative juices flowing simply by drawing what they are imagining.
Imagine a student drawing a 3D aortic valve, building a model of the Eiffel Tower, or making a piece of jewelry.
Students can use their imagination and creativity to become innovative design engineers simply with a swipe of a pen! Once the student draws with the 3D pen, the image instantly comes alive. Whatever the student draws, the student can hold in his/her hand, manipulate it, study it, redesign it, improve upon it, and so much more!
Students could create stencils, personalize items, fix broken objects, or invent new things! Separate pieces could be made and fit together, like a puzzle, for creative design projects or learning activities. Once the students get the pens in their hands, the possibilities for developing new ideas are endless!
