My Students

I teach 5th grade ELA/social studies to a diverse group of learners. My goal is to expose them to a diversified learning environment where they discover their voice, as well as become deep thinkers while discovering a love of reading and our history.

I teach at a 95% Native American, Title I school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch, and many are part of the weekend backpack program.

We have five federal housing projects feed into our school which makes up 80% of our population.

Our students are eager to learn and enjoy hands-on learning experiences.

My Project

For the past 3 years, my classroom has been working in the STEM areas of robotics, coding and 3D design and printing. This has been an extremely beneficial addition to the classroom in encouraging problem solving as well as all areas of STEM thinking.

With a 3D resin printer in the classroom, my students will be able to keep up with the latest technology, experiment with the differences between the two types of printing and enhance their STEM learning.

This project will supply us with a new resin printer as well as several types of resin to fulfill the students' projects throughout the year.
