My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but all want to learn about science and the world! I have students from a very affluent area that are bussed into our school because of a lack of a junior high in their area, I have students that come from around the school which is a low-income area where most of the students are on reduced-price lunch. I also have students that are transient that come here from the local Military base, but all of these students have great potential and a great potential for learning!
My Project
My students will learn how to design and create three-dimensional projects on the computer using a program that comes with the 3D printer. They will learn how to program the printer and then run the program to see their projects actually created. They will do every aspect of the project from design to creation.
I want to take my students into a new realm of science technology.
I feel that introducing them to this new and exciting field I will get them exhilarated about STEM projects and science careers.
My students will use this 3D printer to build confidence and skills needed in a science guided world.
