My students are a group of hard working individuals. They are truly the best! We are from a low poverty area that is struggling economically. This is the same area and elementary school I grew up in. A lot of the students I have don't get an opportunity to get out and be exposed to the world. I work at the largest elementary school in the district and I just want my students to be up to date and exposed to different types of technology.
My Project
I am hoping to receive this product to incorporate in all of my classes. This printer would be perfect for a STEM classroom. Fifth grade students who study robotic engineering would benefit greatly from this because they can really experience new machines. This could help them with the misconceptions of robots...they are not always humanoid. I would love for my students to make a 3D cutaway model of the earth to share with everyone. I think that a STEM/STEAM classroom would greatly benefit from this type of equipment.
I want my students grades K-6 to be exposed to all the latest technology.
I want my students to be familiar with 3D printing. I'm sure it will be a part of their futures and I think it would be really neat to show students what 3D printers are and what they do starting in kindergarten. There are lots of lessons out their adapted to elementary grades that I would love to use with my students.
