My Students

My third-grade students are best described as high octane. They are creative, inspiring, and full of life. As their teacher, I strive to provide a learning environment that is challenging without being intimidating. We celebrate hard work and personal growth. Our classroom is a place where communication, collaboration, community, and creativity are nurtured.

We pride ourselves on lifting each other up, as we strive toward a common goal of developing students who are critical thinkers, innovators, and role models.

We have a long way to go toward achieving this goal; however, with your help, I know we can make it. In our class, we live by the motto, "The good you do will come back to you!"

My Project

Do you remember your first printer? For individuals my age, it was probably a dot matrix that needed special paper with perforated tracks along the side. Flashing forward to today, the latest printer technology no longer needs paper. Today, my students would love to acquire a 3D printer and watch their online digital creations come to life!

Our class would like to add a small 3D printer with replacement filament to infuse more technology into our education.

These incredible resources will allow students to build in a digital format and then print their work in 3D using filament plastic. In addition, we need small tools and replacement nozzles to maintain the 3D printer. These incredibly flexible resources will incorporate many STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills while working toward educational goals. It is easy to envision the children creating their own educational board game pieces, small character statues, or transforming 2D artwork into 3D masterpieces.

With your help, these materials will soon find their way to our school and, more importantly, in the hands of some amazing students. Thank you for your kind consideration!
