My Students

The Duckpond PLTW is at our school and is evolving rapidly! Now, we need to have the ability to 3D print out projects to sell in our student store!

The Duckpond PLTW consists of four semester classes.

We love to collaborate and take control of our learning through STEM, STEAM, and Project Lead the Way (PLTW)! Our school is a traditional junior high. We have over 800 students at our site and we are moving towards Future Ready every day!

My Project

The Duckpond PLTW is at our school and is evolving rapidly! We currently are working with community members to learn and create through the Engineering Design Process. We have been designing and building our creations with materials that must be reused each semester. A 3D printer would allow students to print their designs not only to keep, but to sell!

I want to give students the opportunity to take their creations, print using the 3D printer and sell them to the Oakdale Community and beyond!

Having a 3D printer will increase engagement, interest, and open students up to engineering jobs and opportunities by opening their world to consumerism, listening to consumers, adapting ideas, and their struggles leading to success!

This project will truly open a whole new world!
