My Students

I am the first grade teacher at a rural school district in Oklahoma.

I have a very creative, active, and imaginative group of students this school year.

I want them to thrive and be pushed to do their best in my classroom. I hope to give my students the best “all around educational adventure possible. My students will get their first taste of 3D printing in my classroom. They are instantly hooked and ready to learn more. I strive to make the most recent technology available to my students!

My Project

My students need a variety of colored PLA 3D printing filament to use on our MakerBot Replicator 2. My students love using the 3D printer and making new designs.

First Graders easily adapt to new technology, 3D printing is an awesome STEM project that they enjoy.

My goal is to introduce all my students to 3D printing to a point where they feel comfortable printing on their own. My students will create a design on our ipad by using an app, then they will be able to print their creations.

I feel that my students need the exposure to new technology in order to stay competitive and excel in STEM projects.
