I work at a very community oriented school. The students that graduate and leave this school are career/college ready. They are great kids! These are all members of our local Comic Book and Anime Club. These students are awkward, enthusiastic, and great kids all around. They are always smiling, and have the biggest hearts. Because they are from a low income area, newer technology is a little bit harder to come by. These kids come from different walks of life.
My Project
3D printing will allow another avenue for my students to express their creativity. Our school's Comic Book/Anime Club is filled with many artistic students, and many of them have expressed a want to get these items. The 3D printer will allow students to create their own figurines for their tabletop role-playing games. The pens will allow students to create keychains, magnets, and other items to express their creativity. The added filament will allow students a greater opportunity to create anything they could ever want, without having to struggle to get supplies. The students will get to not only use fine art skills in designing their creations, but they also will practice mathematical skills. They will also get to learn how to use new technology.
