My Students

Our school has a 52% free and reduced lunch rate and many receive backsnacks (a program through Harvesters) to take snacks home each weekend to eat. Having these opportunities at school to learn are invaluable for these students. Most of our students would never have this type of opportunity if it were not given to them at school.

They tend to thrive when put into a problem solving situation.

The hands on approach gives them the tools needed to become those problem solvers.

My Project

Students will be able to see their ideas and designs being built right before their eyes. Not only does 3D design help with math skills but it helps students to connect real world problems to designing something to solve that problem just as doctors, scientists, engineers, and so many other professions do in today's world. This really does help learning to come alive and for students to make that real world connection with things that they have read about or watched online or on television. When learning can be turned into a tangible object it becomes so much more meaningful for students.
