The students at our school are nothing short of amazing. We are located in a small, rural, farm town outside of Charlotte, NC. We have approximately five hundred seventy-five students in Kindergarten-5th Grade.
We have great families at our school.
Despite some of their circumstances, the parents support the students as much as they can. Some of our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds with very little monetary items in their homes, but they continue to get up each morning with a huge smile on their faces ready to learn new and exciting things.
My Project
Help me give the students at our school the opportunity to build anything the choose on a 3D printer! Students will be introduced to a new world of hands-on creation.
Students will be able to design, create, and build 3-Dimensional objects!
This 3D printer will allow all students to ability to create something that is authentic and meaningful to them. This will also help students increase their knowledge of measurement and geometry. Students will be able to create characters from stories using the 3D printer to help enhance their literacy skills.
This 3D printer will be a major asset to our school's Makerspace.
