I teach science and social studies to 6th graders in a very unique and diverse school. My curriculum allows me to introduce students to many aspects of science throughout the school year. This is also a crucial age for students to foster their interests in STEM. I also run the STEM club at my school, for students to use their skills in another outlet.
I am passionate about incorporating STEM concepts into my lesson plans in as many ways as I can.
I believe that these skills, among other things, are what my students need to compete as adults in society.
My Project
These 3D printer pens will help me add an art component to my STEAM instruction. This would fit perfectly into our STEAM lessons as student could create their own models. STEAM instruction helps students utilize skills that will help them be successful in the 21st century.
Students would be able to create three dimensional designs with the pens, this would bring various projects in our curriculum to life.
My students would love to see a rendering of their creations in person and be able to understand the engineering design process more in depth.
