My Students

The students and staff at my school are a family. We have a culturally and economically diverse population, but there is a close-knit family feeling that does not exist at every school.

My students are enthusiastic learners who are always eager to, create, design and build.

I teach art to students from Kindergarten through eighth grade students. We integrate and explore a variety of topics in my art room all while students learn about themselves and the world around them.

My Project

Occasionally, I like to allow my youngest students to explore and build using 3d materials in art class. I like to have different stations for them to use throughout the classroom. It gives them freedom to choose their media and time to play and learn. My current classroom is missing some of the 3d materials that I like to have for students.

Modeling dough, tools for the dough and building blocks would give my Kindergarten and first grade students the opportunity to work on motor skills, problem solving, and creativity.

Students would be allowed to construct architectural models, mold a piece of dough into an amazing sculpture or create cookies and pizza.
