My Students

My students are terrific! They are an energetic group of junior high students that are more like a family than a class. They are naturally curious and enjoy exploring new technology.

My students are just learning to dream bigger.

Our school is K-12 and the students are up with the older students now and seeing what the older students are doing. They are at that age where they are starting to understand how many options are open to them and by bringing new technology into the classroom, we will be opening up even more options.

My Project

This project will help my students understand that computer programming can be more than just sitting at a desk and entering code. By letting them have a real artifact at the completion of their work, they will be better able to see the effects of their effort. These students have not been exposed to a lot of computer science and I really want to get them excited.

By combining logic and creativity, this project will increase my student's problem-solving skills.

As the world becomes more complex, student are going to need to be able to think outside the box in order to solve individual, community, and world problems. I want to prepare them to do just that.
