My students come from many different walks of life. However, most of are Latin descent and on free and reduced lunch. Many are also second language learners, some have learning disabilities, but what they all have in common is the desire to learn and help others.
Despite our students challenges, they work hard and want to help out others in their communities.
Through my tech class, I hope to give them an on the job experience that will help them in their future.
With the 3D printers, students will be able to bring their ideas to life. A lot of the work we do never makes it outside of the class, however, with the 3D printers, students will be able manufacture what they design in class. This is a critical step towards understanding the way a real world business works.
By being able to manufacture our own unique products and inventions, students will be able to literally make their dreams come true.
The end goal is create an actual in class business that provides services and products to the school and community. As a result, students would get real hands on experience in running their very own business.
