My Students

I teach STEAM and my students love this subject. When I give them STEM challenges I hear the laughs and see the smiles. They look forward to the end of class to see who will win the challenge. They enjoy trying to solve a problem with the materials presented. They also love using the computer to create 3D design, do coding and many other computer tasks that come along with the STEAM program.

My Project

Help STEAM come alive for my students. Sadly, we had to give away all of the Chromebook / iPads we had in our building. Now, our in-person children are suffering. These tablets will allow students to take control of the STEAM resources we have in our building. They will use the engineering design process to solve problems by designing innovative 3D objects on TInkercad that we can print and put to use.

They can bring Sphero robots to life by creating one of a kind computer programs that can code the robot to get into tight spaces during an earthquake simulation.

There is so much to learn on the digital side of STEAM, but my students need devices in their hands to do this. My students are passionate about STEAM and enjoy taking a problem and solving it anyway they can whether it is with paper materials or with computer programming and design. Please help them get much needed devices to assist with the STEAM curriculum. These children have such bright ideas and are very creative. You never know, they may design the next, best invention that will take the world by storm.
