My Students

My students LOVE SCHOOL! They come in active and excited each day, in-person or on-line, hoping we are doing something that requires them to think outside the box. Working together, my PreK-8th-grade students solve real-world problems that help create stronger thinkers and independent learners.

I couldn't be prouder of my classes and the way they treat each other like one big, slightly silly, family of engineers, mathematicians, and scientists.

They are curious and creative and they truly love exploring new ideas and concepts using STEM. My students are a truly remarkable group and I am so lucky to be their teacher!

My Project

In today's high speed and fast paced school and working environments, learning doesn't have to be boring! Students are learning to bring their ideas to life through 3D printers and pens. These modern tools, once quite expensive, are becoming much more affordable and more prevalent in schools and classrooms, allowing students to see their 'ideas' and 'concepts' in a truly physical way.

3D printing is one tool that helps students conceptualize and visualize their designs as they develop their work from the design stages of a sketch to the final product.

Not only can this clarify complex concepts, it is a rewarding way for students to receive instant feedback on the feasibility of their ideas.
