My Students

Nestled in the heart of downtown Louisville, LES is the home of a thriving, inclusive community of K-5 learners. The students at LES come from a diverse background. Children come to school each day with a smile on their face and eager to learn. The art room is always alive with active participants with a zest for creativity. Usually an organized mess, the room screams fun and learning. Definitely an amazing and rewarding place to spend my days!

My Project

Drawing is a fun way to make art. But when you use pens to draw, it's just two-dimensional. I want to take the kids art to the next level with a third dimension. Imagine building your drawing up and out in all directions- One of the coolest new inventions is a 3D printer. Middle and high school students are working with these printers on a daily basis. Due to cost and difficulty level, a 3D printer has not found its place in the elementary classroom. A 3D drawing pen is the perfect stepping stone to move elementary students to this next dimension!
