My Students

My students are highly curious and motivated children who love to learn new things. Our school is in the central part of Alabama on the outskirts of Birmingham. Although our school is not considered impoverished we have few resources to provide meaningful technological experiences for our students. These students love to figure out problems and be in the drivers seat of their own learning. They work cooperatively and think creatively to apply the learned concepts to the missions they are completing.

My Project

My students are learning about the engineering design process. Students will use online software to create 3-D print designs and then see the idea actually made in front of them.

My 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are very creative and curious individuals who would benefit from the experience of using a 3-D printer.

They love to be creative and to produce items rather than always being a consumer. With the 3-D printer we can literally put the engineering design process into action in our class. This will go perfectly with our robotics curriculum that we are already learning. Students will be so excited about learning with this new tool!
