My Students

I have the privilege of teaching and inspiring students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Technology is one major avenue that educators can use to engage the influential minds of our students and guide them in the right direction. Students are eager to embrace technology and to see how it can be used in the learning process.

The students at my school have a unique love for learning which is both refreshing and contagious.

They are excited about learning academic concepts and meaningful life lesson through the use of technology. Instead of teaching technology as a separate entity, our students love to see how technology can be incorporated into their daily lives and how it can cause their creativity and problem-solving juices to flow!

My Project

The Scholastic Reading Summit will help me expand my knowledge and incorporate literacy strategies in my school. This summit will allow me to equip me with knowledge about new library trends in library science and bring those trends into my school.

The summit will allow me to receive professional development from top children's book educators, writers, and experts will give their insight into building a reading culture.

Through the information acquired in this summit, I can collaborate with classroom teachers to help increase reading comprehension and literacy. This opportunity will also give me access to a professional learning community of my peers.
