We are a class of 20 super excited second graders - 13 girls and 7 boys. Their needs cover a broad range: 25% are below or far below in reading, 25% are below in math and 2 students receive special education services. Our school is located in a large urban city and is Title I- all students are able to receive free lunch. Many of these students lack sufficient access to technology, books, and experiences with the world outside their immediate surroundings. They are eager to learn and would appreciate any resources to enrich their education.
We would love to share our learning with others, especially with family members who may be too busy to make it to class to see our presentations in person. We've tried to record student presentations, but the low sound quality just made it difficult for others to hear. We would love to have an iPhone microphone and a tripod stand to help solve the "sound problem" so we could we record and share presentations for parents who couldn't see them in person.
In addition, an iPhone microphone and tripod stand would open up so many other opportunities to create and share video projects!
We could record oral presentations about things we've learned, recreate scenes from books, or even film student newscasts! An iPhone microphone and tripod stand would add a new, exciting level of using technology in our classroom!
