Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I can't say enough wonderful things about my students. They are hard-working, creative, kind, and considerate. My class loves reading, writing, math, social studies, STEM, and learning about the world around them! These kids are eager and ready to learn!
We truly have a diverse learning community within our room.
This allows us to learn from one another. We have a very strong classroom community. My students look out for and care about each other. Thank you for your consideration!
My Project
A few weeks ago my students started writing and illustrating their own books! My students have been very excited about the book making process!
My class needs blank hardback books so they can officially publish their work and add their finished book to our classroom library for others to read!
This year we have had the opportunity to Skype with different authors and illustrators. Through the various Skype sessions my students have learned how a book goes from an idea to a final copy. They are using what they learned to make their own books and I want give them the supplies they need to continue this creative writing journey!
