Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second grade classroom is full of students who are very creative, thoughtful, and love coming to school to learn. They love to be engaged with hands-on activities and are ready to give it all each day. However, the Coronavirus pandemic has taken its toll on my students.
The need for technology has become a major factor for my students, even for the ones who don't have any at home.
My students' homes and school are located in the middle of a low/middle-class community in Houston. This does not stop my students' passion for learning though and they still give it their all every day, whether they are in class or working from home.
My Project
An iPad will help support student learning at home while assisting students who are in class. Being able to instruct students while having an iPad in hand will make it easier to show examples to the students, while also completing district assessments with the students at home.
The iPad will be a great support to my instruction, I will use the iPad to plan and deliver engaging and exciting lessons to my second graders in class and at home!
Also, the ink will be used to print out online student work, at-home packets, and worksheets for the students in the class.
