Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I want to make math and writing time fun and exciting with my 2nd grade students. With hands on games and Common Core aligned workbooks I will be able to provide awesome math and writing lessons. Learning needs to be engaging and fun. The materials requested will help.
My school provides students with a safe place to learn.
We provide free breakfast, lunch and after school programs. We are a caring group of educators, teaching the lowest economic students. Most of my students are English language learners, many were born here in CA and are first generation Americans. They come from caring families and may be the first to graduate from school.
My Project
I will be using the materials that I am requested during math and writing lessons. The math games will be for our Fun Friday time with educational math games. Children need to have hand-on fun time and need to learn interactively. The writing journals will help to support the writing process from start to a finished published and presented story. I hope you will help us.

It will change my students' lives as they will learn that math can be fun and not scary or hard like may people think. Math can be fun and challenging at the same time and I will be teaching my students this all year.
Writing is so important and the writing materials I am requesting will help to support my lessons and give my students a sense of organization in writing.
