My students need a listening center to help improve their overall speech and fluency. Also,they need five kits of Read Alongs to help make them more successful readers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever had a conversation with a child who has autism? They are simply amazing. Their minds are incredible and usually their intelligence level is high. However, being a teacher who teaches children with autism, I have found that my students need more assistance with their speech.
My students are all boys.
They are delightful,creative, inquisitive, and intelligent. They attend a school that is in a very low-income area, however, they always come to school with a smile on their face. They love to learn:-). We are from California - the sunshine state:-). However, my boys go home to poverty-stricken homes every day where no books are present. I would like to provide as many opportunities for them to learn to read as possible.
My Project
I am requesting that a listening center be donated to my classroom. My students are struggling in learning how to read due to their functioning level of autism. They need more visuals, listening opportunities, and a center where they learn to read during workshop time. Please help these students as they learn how to not only be in a world that misunderstands them, but also learn how to be overcomers. My students would love to learn to read. Will you help us?
