My students need more hands-on science materials, including activity readers, interactive games and a human body learning center, to increase their love and knowledge of science standards.
This project expired on July 2, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Science is so much more fun if you can actually do hands-on activities.
We are a K-8 school that is moving towards being a K-6 school this summer.
Our school is in a very close-knit community that is very supportive of the school and teachers. Our students are required to take state-mandated testing in the area of science in 4th and 8th grades.
Our school is trying to build a hands-on science library for ALL the teachers of our school to be able to access and this grant would help to purchase more non-consumable items for this library. Teachers will be able to use these materials to have students work individually, in groups, or as a class. There are labs, computer games for the Smart boards, and centers in this grant!
Please consider donating to this wonderful grant and help our school fulfill its dream of creating this science library.
It will help teachers be able to do more science activities with their students and increase the students love of science!
