My Students

My first grade students are full of energy and excited to learn. They are also nervous about meeting new friends, being accepted, and meeting new academic challenges.

My students bring diverse experiences and insights to understanding concepts with varied academic levels.

My belief in our ever-changing world is that all students can access the curriculum, but do it in different ways. My students are motivated to learn in a variety of ways. I want to do my best to meet all of their needs to help grow them into confident and socially secure kids.

My Project

I work in a school that has older computers that are not reliable for the needs of our students. My students use computers to differentiate math skills, reading skills and science/social studies activities. To allow equitable access to technology, our class needs 2 more Chromebooks.

Having more Chromebooks in our class will accommodate the students' learning needs.

The software being used allows each student to progress at their level and pace in math and reading. Additionally, our testing is online. Giving students access to Chromebooks on a daily basis helps students learn the technology skills they need to be successful in their future.
