I teach at a Title I school, where the majority of the kids receive free lunch as well as food packs to go home. These kids are eager to learn and very creative. Their education is not always supported at home so we make the most of our day at school!
They love anything hands-on and they enjoy exploring the possibilities the world has to offer.
Every single student in my classroom has a passion to learn and the drive to succeed.
In my classroom, I foster a love and understanding of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). I currently implement lessons using coding with Arduinos, raspberry pis, and a 3D printer. The coding programs used for these microprocessors and 3D printer are most compatible with a PC platform. In order to reach our full potential of coding, we are in need of a Lenovo ThinkPad E480 computer. With this computer system, I will be able to align project to our standards and integrate STEM into literacy and mathematics in the classroom. Students would be able to build a better understanding of how to use science, technology, engineering, and math in our everyday lives and how it improves our quality of life.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
