Our school is a tight-knit family. Parents are involved in the classrooms and PTA (Parent Teacher Association), neighbors walk each others' kids to school, and our principal is actively engaged in maintaining a positive school environment. My students are an energetic group of boys and girls who love to learn! Kindergarten is their first experience with school and everything they do is new and exciting! They approach everything we do with enthusiasm and eagerness. Every day my students are learning something new and growing confidence in their capabilities.
Kindergarten is a great time to foster life long learners.
My students are not only learning the basics, but also learning to work together in a workshop model classroom to help prepare them for their future!
My Project
Students will be able to access online learning programs such as ABCmouse, Moby Max, or A to Z Learning. These programs allow students to work at their own individualized level. Touchscreen Chromebooks, with the management console, are a great "in-between" device for kindergartners. It is a cross between an iPad which most students have had access to and a "real" computer which they will be using in future grades.
