I am an education specialist on a campus that supports students with social/emotional disabilities which impact their ability to focus and learn. In a growing digital world that promotes 21st-century learning, I have seen the impact on my students as we have incorporated technology into our classrooms.
In promotion of growth to our program, I created a technology growth plan in 2017 to support the students on my campus by creating a plan to bring 1:1 Chromebooks to all learners.
This program has enhanced student learning, engagement and addressed learning needs for readers and writers that are performing below grade level (90% of our learners).
Unfortunately, our Chromebooks are now out of date and our licenses are expiring at the end of this school year. We need funding to order new Chromebooks and licenses so we can continue to support our K-12 program. Your donations will greatly enhance our students and continue to provide 21st Century Learning Skills.
My Project
This order is for five Chromebooks. We presently need 90 in order to continue our 1:1 ratio for students. Your donation to this project will increase our ability to supply Chromebooks for our K-12 school program. We presently have 1:1 Chromebooks but unfortunately our books and licenses will be out of date at the end of this school year. In order to sustain our current growth, we are proactively beginning to fund our goal for the upcoming 2020-21 school year. While this may seem too soon, it is not. We presently do not have a funding source available to promote our technology plan and rely on donations from the Community and School Fundraising to sustain our student learning. This donation will support our first 5 of 90 Chromebooks needed.
