My students need a classroom that reflects the American workplace. A projector, screen, and ceiling mount will allow them to experience the world outside & the chance to present their visions.

The philosophy of our school is to heal students from the trauma that they encounter on the streets of their neighborhood.
Over half of our students are eligible for a free lunch - which means that the per capita spending/earnings is less than $8,000 per family member.
We serve a population that is 95% minority, and that is marginalized, profiled, and ignored 95% of the time.
Our school is trying to combat the inequity that our students face every day - beginning with basic technology.

My Project
A projector not only brings the world to the reach of our students, but will also allow them to build their public speaking skills, confidence, technological literacy, workplace readiness, planning, and execution skills by being able to document and display original work.
A high school classroom cannot survive without a projector and a screen.
With budgets so low, I cannot even provide all the lab opportunities that I want to give my students. But, I can sometimes demonstrate them from projecting videos. Furthermore, for them to appreciate the planet that they live on, they have to SEE it with their own eyes. This projector will allow for that.
