My students need noise cancelling headphones to work on our computers distraction free. The ink will allow students to print and "publish" their works of writing.

My Students
My students are bright, compassionate, and hardworking. I teach a homeroom of 20 students ELA and math, plus an additional 18 students for reading interventions. We currently are working on building our fluency and decoding skills for reading. During the month of August, we have focused on community building, trustworthy behaviors, and helping friends in polite and positive ways. I would like my students to become better at expressing themselves in writing. My goal for them is to write and publish their own original books this year.
My Project
These headphones will allow my students to focus on learning valuable skills for producing quality written work. Headphones allow them to block out the classroom and hallway distractions and focus on doing their best work. Our current headphones are from the Dollar Store, and are at least 7 years old. They no longer can be adjusted to fit students' heads. We are not allowed to ask parents to provide these for students. We currently have a small HP printer for which I have to provide ink. The ink will allow students to see/publish their writing throughout the process. Additionally, the ink will be used to "publish" our final writing pieces.
