Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are interested, intelligent, curious, energetic learners who are excited about school! They are eager to learn and explore new ways to expand their knowledge.
Each student is unique with their own goals and learning strategies and a love to demonstrate their knowledge in various ways!
They enjoy the new daily challenges that come with attending school and are so eager to advance their social and academic skills. My students are friendly and love getting to know one another. I am grateful I get to spend this year with them.
My Project
In our classroom, technology is integrated into many aspects of learning. We use technology to help us learn new things. The laptop we currently own is outdated and virtually inefficient due to its age. Having a newly updated Apple laptop will allow my students to be up-to-date with the latest technology has to offer.
My students and I will use the laptop for research, virtual field trips, Skyping with other students around the globe, monitoring academic progress, games, communicating with parents, and many more projects such as editing green screen videos with iMovie.
Having this new technology will help keep the students engaged in learning and enrich their experiences. They will be able to transfer their knowledge to explore emerging technologies. The laptop will also be used to access various online sites and view videos that will assist in education as well as collaborate with other schools and students through Skype.
