21st Century Kinder-Kids, Ready to Learn on New iPads!
My students need 2 iPads. The iPads will enhance independent learning centers and will provide learning experiences that meet the unique learning styles of each of my students.
We are an active group of kindergarten students who are inquisitive and excited to learn.
We come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Teaching Kinder-Kids is such an exciting experience. Every year, I get to see young minds grow into fluent readers and writers, mathematicians, and problem solvers.
Our school district has a high poverty rate, however, our families are engaged in their children’s learning and are loyal to our schools. Our entire staff is dedicated to meeting the needs of all our students. We provide a rigorous academic program and we have been recognized by the state as a school that ‘Significantly Exceeds Expectations’ for student achievement, student growth, educational equity and preparing students for educational milestones, including college and career readiness. Our school community is a great place to learn, work, and play.
My Project
We have a wide range of unique learning styles and I try to meet individual academic needs by providing hands on, interactive activities. iPads have the power and ability help me meet individual learning styles by providing engaging learning tools.
iPads will be used to help my kindergarten friends practice letter recognition and sounds, early reading skills, phonemic awareness, handwriting practice, provide leveled readers for our various reading abilities, and will also provide math and science activities.
We are currently using 3 older devices designed for young learners. These devices provide Math and Language Arts games & activities. They have been very engaging for my students, however, we are beginning to see a need for updated technology. The new iPads will also be more economical, since they do not require batteries.
My Kinder-Kids will be so motivated to learn with new technology at their fingertips. They will be able to gain new skills along with gaining valuable 21st Century Technological skills.
