The students that take Spanish are a diverse group. They come from all socio-economic backgrounds. What they have in common is their love for learning. They have an enthusiasm for language learning that keeps me going. They love when we do blended learning lessons. They move through the learning centers at their own pace. This way I am able to give them one-on-one help when they need it.
In this class, we build a community through our shared experiences.
The small group learning centers help the students to build community and how to work as a team. I love that my students want to learn and know about other cultures and languages.
In the learning centers, they will also be able to go at their own pace. The students that need enrichment can get it and the students that need more time will not be rushed.
My Project
New flexible seating will foster 21st century communication skills that will help my students prepare for the 21st century work force! Students love to work together in groups. Our old desks just don't work with the new skills we are trying to teach our students. I have four tables that work for project based learning and I need four more to make the entire class able to work at tables. With these tables, we want to foster academic language, personal growth and interpersonal communication. Flexible seating does with this! Please aid our students to move forward ! We aim to make blended learning and project based learning an everyday learning experience. These new tables will help accomplish this. Thank you for your support.
