Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first-grade students are the best especially when they are ready to learn because they had plenty of rest. They show up every morning with a smile on their face, a great attitude and an untied shoelace. They are eager learners living in a city where gang violence has destroyed many dreams. A city that cries out for peace in hopes that the bloodshed will one day cease. Homelessness is a commonality among our families, a sad true reality which no child deserves to experience. Our school is a safe learning environment in which we have high expectations, compassion, and love for our students. My students are the future of tomorrow; therefore, I will motivate them to be critical thinkers, innovators, and 21st century lifelong learners.
My Project
My students will benefit from these materials because they will have the appropriate technology tools to enhance their education in an engaging way. Students will be prepared everyday with the portable chargers and wireless headphones. Also, students will have the opportunity to collaborate with each other to practice public speaking using a PA system with a microphone and all students will be able to hear them clearly. Technology is a big part of education and the real world. I want to ensure that my students have the technology and the skills necessary to be productive in the 21st century classroom.
