This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The math challenge of the day, is what students look forward to when entering the classroom. In order to provide accuracy it is important that students are able to compute their findings effectively. "The training of the mind is very important, and without it we are lost, Albert Einstein."

My students are young adults who strive for perfection in mathematics.

They are very competitive and always wanting to do their best. Many of them come from a low social-economic environment that limits them to wanting to do better. School is where they are able to get the everyday mishaps out of their mind and come to learn in a safe and orderly environment. With the help of our city mayor, we have began the process of making the school look like a school with beautification projects. School will always be a place where learning will take place.

My Project

In this competitive world of engineering it is important that more students are able to enter into college beginning to solve critical thinking problems. Critical thinking takes place in everything that we do in my accelerated math courses. Everyday in class, students will be able to calculate and display solutions to higher thinking problems that will prepare them for assessments such as state assessments, the SAT, and ACT. In order to do that they will need a calculator that can produce the mathematical findings that they need.

This project will change how students solve critical thinking problems that will in turn change students perceptions of being unable to solve such problems.

I want my students to always believe that they can achieve anything if they try and with the right tools it will be possible.
