Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently teach 3rd grade at a Title I site. My students have recently returned to in-person learning after 17 months of virtual learning and are eager to learn. They have worked hard virtually for a year. I would love to provide hands-on resources that they can use to expand their learning while getting them away from their devices.
My Project
My students are learners who work hard and try their best. We are a Title I site with so many eager learners. My students would love to have more opportunities to learn and grow.

I want to do what I can to provide experiences and materials to empower my students to be lifelong learners.
My students come to school eager and excited to learn. I would like to do a project with them where they read the book, "One Word for Kids: A Great Way to Have the Best Year Ever", and select their own words to encourage them to have the best 3rd grade year!
This project will consist of them painting a rock, writing their word, and keeping their rock in our garden.
A place they will always see on their way in, and out of our classroom.
How fun and encouraging for them to have a visual reminder of their chosen word this school year. At the end of the year, they will be able to take it home and keep it.
