Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Renaissance students are leaders on-campus who promote positive school culture and recognize student academic achievement. This is our third year on campus and we have already made a great impact on school culture. We look forward to bringing so much more. We strive to give back and reward students on campus for actions and achievements that align with our school's goals.
Recognizing others and giving back is our reward.
My students are from all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. They are hard working and many participate in sports, school clubs, and do volunteer work. Many have jobs to help support their families all while they maintain high GPAs.
My Project
These materials will help students get settled in his or her dorm and ready to enter the real world. As a college student, he or she will have many sleepless nights and what better way to keep them awake than coffee. Secondly, a microwave to warm up their hot meals while living in the dorms without a stove. Lastly, a mini fridge to keep their food cold. These items will save some students money and allow them to buy other items needed for first time college student on their own.
