Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 21 energetic unique individuals. They are eager to learn and come to school everyday. Students know that our classroom and school is their safe place. I welcome them every morning with their own special hand shake. They enjoy walking into class with a smile.
Our school is Title I, which means that we are in a low social economic neighborhood.
Many of my students come from single family homes. Our school is family oriented and parents are always enthusiastic to be involved in students' learning.
My Project
Students are in need of organization in the classroom. Each student has an area where they keep classroom and they need to be able to organize their materials. Bins will be used to organize student centers. This will aid with transition time and give students more learning time. Maximizing student success!
Many students are new to the school are learning two new languages.
We use color pens to decode our new words. Pens are also used to take notes during reading and math. Students create their own books and laminate them for durability. Laminating will also allow students to be able to write on sheets that can be reused to practice handwriting and math.
