Professional development

2019 Annual TAEA Conference

I need to attend this conference to understand how to better serve my students. As a first-year art teacher, this three-day conferences is imperative to help me grow professionally.

My Students

I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to work with these diverse and unique students every day. My learners are proud of their accomplishments but also struggle with their weaknesses. This school year, I want my students to be successful in as many art projects as possible.

This will be my first year of teaching art.

I am extremely excited and I have so many projects that I want to have my students do.

I have taught for two years in a first-grade co-taught classroom. Art does not seem like a priority in school but it truly helps create holistic students.

My Project

The Texas Art Education Association represents over 4,000 members from throughout Texas. They are engaged in teaching art and are genuinely interested in advancing their professions.

I will have the privilege to see what is new in the art materials market, what colleges have to offer, and other art services.

I am excited to attend workshops, network with other colleges, and get creative and worthwhile ideas to bring back to my classroom!

I want to attend this conference to grow professionally and apply what I learned in the classroom. My students will benefit from this because I will be able to prove them with better art lessons.
