Teacher Professional Development: I need to attend this professional development. This conference advances teacher development for interdisciplinary learning best practices. <profdevpilot>
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I need to attend this conference to improve interdisciplinary learning strategies to support the developing of creative and “imagination” skills for my students.
I have worked with a Title I school in an urban environment for ten years.
All students receive free and reduced lunch. The school has little funding. My students are bright, inquisitive and excited to learn. However, due to a lack of resources, the school does not have the budget to fund professional development opportunities. we rely on your support to create a quality program and ensure our students have access quality education experiences.
This 3-day professional development event brings together leading experts in teaching, learning, and the arts with thousands of visual arts educators representing all teaching levels and backgrounds focused on practical research and teaching strategies, hands-on arts workshops, special exhibits, and tours.
This professional development will provide valuable resources, curriculum and program ideas that will help me to learn best practices for helping students achieve 21st-century goals.
I have a lot of goals for my students, like: developing creativity and innovation, learning strategies and tools for developing “imagination” skills, greater expertise in interdisciplinary learning—making connections between art curriculum goals and skills to succeed in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and this event will sharpen my skills and help my students achieve.
