I teach 2nd and 3rd grade in a multi-age classroom. This program is wonderful because I have the opportunity to work with my students for two years as opposed to the traditional one-year most teachers have.
A big part of my curriculum is learning centers. These “Take It to Your Seat Centers” are wonderful part of the classroom. These sets just require a little effort putting them together, but once they are put together they can last years.
I currently have one set in this series. As a teacher this is a wonderful tool to have in the classroom. Not only does it make it just a little easier to set up rotating centers in my class, but the kids love the independence that these centers give them. The kids love the freedom that they have in choosing which center they need to work on. As a teacher I love seeing the kids helping each other not only in deciding which of the centers is best for them that day, but they also help each other out when they are stuck.
Unfortunately, the kids have gone through most of the centers and they are asking for more. I have been able to borrow some from a fellow coworker, but it would be so much easier if we each had our own sets.
