Many of the students in our school come from low-income households and face a variety of challenges. Our school is small, with a tight-knit and supportive community, and we strive to provide an environment that allows our students to grow and thrive.
My students are curious about the world.
They love to ask questions, gain and share information, and try to make sense of everything they hear. They need some extra time and support to fully understand and make themselves understood, but they are motivated to be engaged members of the community. I want them to feel encouraged to stay inquisitive and informed about the world they live in.
My Project
Remote instruction has been a learning process for students and teachers alike. As we prepare to transition back to in-person instruction, the technology setup at my school also needs to accommodate the needs of my students who continue to participate in school remotely.
A second monitor and webcam will help all my students stay on track.
A webcam with built-in microphone will let me teach my remote students from my office at school. The second monitor will let me see my students in the video chat on one screen while sharing materials or taking notes on another. Combined, these tools will allow me to provide equitable, high-quality instruction to my remote students as well as those who are in-person.
