My students need one computer to use for the new HeadSprout program we are launching at our school.

I am a second grade teacher in a turnaround school. A turnaround is a school that has performed so poorly that the entire staff was replaced with new teachers. This school is in a low-income neighborhood and most of the students come from single-parent homes. Our goal is to significantly bring up Reading and Math scores.
I think that we have finally found the program that can raise our Reading scores. We have just invested in a program called HeadSprout. The program representatives have guaranteed that this program will significantly raise Reading and comprehension scores. We are responsible for giving each child at least three sessions a week on the computer and apparently the program will do the rest. Unfortunately we have a short school day and a limited supply of computers. For now, I will send children during other lessons so that everyone will get their time in. This arrangement is not ideal however, because while they are completing their session they will be missing out on other valuable learning experiences.
My solution is to add another computer to our classroom. With an extra computer I can put more children on at one time (during small-group center time or independent reading time). With the extra computer, each child can get their session in without me having to send them during my large-group instructional time.
Your help will ensure that my students will get their required HeadSprout sessions in without having to lose instructional time. I have a really good feeling about this program and I am positive that my students will demonstrate the academic growth that the HeadSprout representatives have promised.
